About the project
BALKANSGROW (Green Resilient Organic Wisdom) is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership Project co-funded by the European Union. The project brings together eight partner organisations from five countries to modernise vocational education and training (VET) by combining regenerative agriculture, digital innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
The project responds to the growing need for practical, future-oriented education that equips learners, educators, and agricultural professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to support the transition towards more sustainable and resilient farming systems. Through international cooperation and innovative educational approaches, BALKANSGROW promotes green competences, digital skills, and stronger links between education and the labour market.
One of the project's main outcomes is the development of six open-access training modules covering regenerative agriculture, digital marketing, and management in the agri-sector. Designed for vocational education, higher education, and lifelong learning, these training materials will provide practical knowledge that supports sustainable agricultural practices and rural development.
Another key result is the creation of an interactive digital platform that will provide free access to all learning materials while serving as a collaborative space for educators, students, agricultural professionals, and rural communities. The platform will also feature an online marketplace designed to increase the visibility of organic products and support local producers through digital technologies.
To bridge the gap between education and practice, the project will implement pilot activities in cooperation with local agricultural businesses. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world environments by working with the digital platform and supporting the promotion of organic products. These practical experiences will strengthen their practical skills while fostering innovation and collaboration within the agricultural sector.
By making its educational resources freely accessible and encouraging cooperation between education, industry, and rural communities, BALKANSGROW aims to create a lasting impact that extends beyond the project's lifetime, contributing to a greener, more resilient, and more inclusive future for agriculture across Europe.
